Guangzhou!
WE LOVE GUANGZHOU!!  The weather is nice, there are MANY other families here adopting(and they speak English), the hotel is great, and Lucy's(restaurant) has sweet tea!  This has really been a fun day.  We started with the breakfast buffet at the White Swan.  We had heard it was good and it didn't disappoint.  There is sooooo much food!  After breakfast we met the 3 other families from Lifeline and went to the medical exam.  All 3 families are from Alabama and are so nice.  They all became parents this week and all of them are doing great! The medical exam was chaos.  There were people everywhere and babies crying.  It was another moment that felt surreal as I've seen so many photos of the medical facility.  Anna did great.  She hated the ENT that stuck a tongue depressor in her mouth but she never cried.  She was weighed fully clothed with shoes on and came in at a whopping 20.2 pounds!!  We knew she was a little bit!  I'll try to get Shawn to post his thoughts on the medical exam tomorrow.  He had me in stitches today.  After the medical exam we returned to the room and let Anna play.  We got some of the cutest pictures while she played.  I know I keep saying this, but she is a funny, funny girl!  Her expressions are hysterical.  This evening we went out and did a little shopping.  We bought Anna a dress for her red couch photo tomorrow.  It is so precious.  We met a shop owner who knows our Father.  I had heard of him before coming and was so excited when he introduced himself to us on the street.  I immediately told him that I knew of him.  What a nice man he is.  He is doing a stone etching of all 4 girls.  I can't wait to see it.  Tomorrow, after pictures, we are going to the market.  This is where we will start spending money!  Uh-oh!  Anna continues to do fantastic.  She is so much better with Shawn.  He can take her now and she may fuss a moment but she quickly stops.  Tonight she was running around the room to all 4 of us.  It was an hour past her bedtime and she was delirious!  So much for that schedule I told you about yesterday!  (Sorry Dawn!)  We are so thankful she is ours and we can't wait to get home so we will have all 4 girls together.  It is so funny over here when we tell people we have another girl at home.  Their eyes get really big and they say, "Four daughters?"  Yes, we are very blessed!  Thanks for all your prayers.  They are truly being answered as we see Anna trusting both of us more and more.  I will post additional pictures on my blog today.  There were too many cute ones!

Until tomorrow, Shelley
