Hello from Beijing! We have finally arrived at our hotel after the longest day EVER!!! We left our house this morning at 4:30am. Flight left at 7:44. Arrived in Chicago at 9:15am for a 12:33 flight to Beijing. It was postponed until 4pm! At 3pm it was postponed until 6pm. So we finally arrived at our hotel at 10:30am(EST) on Thursday! Holy Cow! Yes, that is 30 hours after leaving home! So, no pictures tonight! So sorry! I will certainly have some tomorrow. The girls did well on the flight. They actually slept a good bit...thank you Benedryl! We landed in Beijing and I cried. Sarah has already pointed out all the times I am going to cry in the next week. And actually, I don't think she named landing in Beijing.
But here we are, after that long flight and finally we are in Anna's birthplace. After almost 3 years of talking about China, we are here! And we will meet our sweet girl in just 3 days! That is worthy of a few tears, I think. Tomorrow we visit the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven. I will share pictures from those, I promise! Thank you all for the notes you sent and prayers for us. Lauren has had a good day and Mimi is going to be there tonight. Love from the 4 Mansfields in China....almost 5!
