Greetings again from Nanchang, Jiangxi China.

We have spent most of the time here in our room with the most amazing view of our baby!  We have taken this time to unplug.  Very few phone calls, very little TV and lots of bonding.  China is very different than America.  The view out of our window is actually much more interesting than TV.  I could stand there for hours.  Jeff and I could not decide if the people are worst or the best drivers in the world.  We have decided they’re the best!  It is amazing.  There are no driving laws.  You have people walking, people on every kind of bike and scooter and motorcycle.  People are carrying things behind them in carts that look like they’re from the 1800’s and you have buses and SUVs and mini cars of all sorts.  Everyone goes in all different directions and don’t hit each other.  They mainly go diagonal.  It’s like an art!  We took a taxi ride today, of course no seatbelts, and I felt like I was in one of those movies with a fast chase.  It was really fun!!

Well, enough about that!  We finally got out today and Anna really enjoyed it too.  She likes people and action!  Who does that remind you of?  Not me!

Ha!  We went to a walmart that was several stories high.  What an experience, people everywhere!  They even had the happy faces and we’re rolling back their prices, a very bizarre empire!

I am in the internet room right now and Jeff is up feeding Anna her steamed egg and then he will put her to bed.  Tomorrow, we will tour the countryside where there are many poor people.  We will take the children candy and toys.  We will not get to see Anna’s Orphanage (The Shangrao Children’s Welfare Center – Ling Babies) because it is four hours from here.  There are 3 dads from our group going on Monday to take video and pictures.  We are all counting the days to get home to the familiar and be with our families.

A huge thanks to my friend Dotty for all the snacks.  We had twizzlers, nuts, and cereal bars for dinner last night.  We could not find anything that resembled edible food.  How about some ox tendon?  Yum!  I have had my fill of chicken hearts, squid, fried pumpkin, unknown sausage meat, chicken stomach, and rice.  They use some spice in all of their food here that is gagging me.  Anna’s diaper smells better!  And, I am not picky.  Wish we could find some American Chinese food!  HA!  HA!

Boys, wait til you get a load of your sister!  She is about 2 feet tall and ornery as all get out….maybe you won’t have to wait til you have your own kids to get paid back!  She’s going to make you laugh so hard!  She is hilarious!  I know she is going to think you guys are the best!  Make sure to teach her good things!  We love you and miss you very much!

We give God all the praise and all the glory.  Thank you God for your great provisions and a plan that only you could orchestrate!  Thank you for your love and blessings!

Have a wonderful day!  Keep looking up!
