Just when I thought we might have a slow day!

Well, I guess we were supposed to...

David took our paperwork to the consulate this morning and presented it on our behalf to apply for Anna's immigration visa.  He called and I panicked when the phone rang!  I thought "what did we do wrong?".  He said that everything went fine and that they actually asked us to come today for the oath taking ceremony!  I laid Anna down early - as we were to meet David to leave for the consulate at 2:45.  Anna would surely sleep that long!

Ummm.  Unless Momma's friend in China finally gets to visit and wants to meet Anna.

So - Anna got woke up by our excitement and was less than "chipper" when she woke up.  I brought her into the living room area and there were two Chinese people in our room!  (My friend brought another friend)  My friend's friend proceeded to take Anna - who all too willingly went!  Argh.  So I am walking back and forth with Amber - telling her that I don't know what to do - because although Anna was happy to go to her, she was CLEARLY agitated.  I decided that the best way to handle it was to take a walk outside around the island.  Ummmm.  That would mean sweating PROFUSELY!  But - it was worth it.

We said "goodbyes" (until she is back at WSU in two weeks!) and went to the consulate.  It is a pretty quick process and then we loaded back onto the bus and drove back.  Again - ugh.  I hate riding on buses... I get so car sick...  So we came back to the hotel and cooled down then went to Lucy's for supper (again - but tried something new!).  We went for ice cream, too!  So much for losing weight this trip!

I just put Anna to bed and am starting to think about packing.

There was a chance that we could have left a little early, but after weighing the pluses and minuses - I decided that we should just keep our original flights and travel when Anna would be more likely to sleep.

We got our jackets (and the kids clothes) back today, too!  OH MY - they are beautiful!  Amber is such a cute gal (so athletic and slim) that hers looks AWESOME on her!  Mine is cute - but - to quote Amber "it is definitely something you would wear".  I know she meant it as a compliment - but I guess that I am THAT predictable!

We are going to try to do Red Couch pics tomorrow morning after breakfast - then I will send the post to Tina (at Story of You) and then start packing...

One more sleep!!!
