It was so nice today not having any scheduled activities. Bob and Bill had a 9:00 am appointment at the U.S. Consulate to process our group’s documents. We were instructed for one of the parents to stay in the hotel room just in case they needed to contact us. Today was the most stressful part for Bob (from Sunny Ridge) because he had to get all of the documents ready for the U.S. Consulate and this is crucial with getting us back out of the country with our children! Can you believe we’ll be home in two days!!! I heard that American Airlines has cancelled a lot of flights and I’m just praying that it doesn’t affect our flight on Friday!
Angelina and I took off for Starbucks this morning and went shopping for some last minute souvenirs. She ended up falling to sleep and then I took her back to hotel room with Greg. I took off shopping again because I’m feeling the pressure to get things done because tomorrow is our last day here. The little Chinese dresses for Angelina are only $5. so I had to stock up for the years ahead; in China Town they’re about $40.
It was so much fun just hanging out in the hotel room playing with Angelina! We ended up taking a nap and slept for over 2 hours. Boy did that feel great! It’s unbelievable how Angelina loves sleep as much as her brother and sister! We were wondering if God was going to have a sense of humor with our third since Liliana and Eli were such great sleepers from day one. Well, I can officially say that after nine days she’s a great sleeper too! She’s been consistently sleeping 12 hours a night with a 3 hour nap! We are so loud in the morning and even at night we’ll stay up with the lights on, typing away, talking and she sleeps right thru everything. We can hardly wait for Liliana and Eli to meet her! They’re going to be absolutely crazy about her! She is such a happy baby and very loving too! I can just see Liliana carrying her around like a baby doll. We just want to get home and for all of us to be together! It will be the happiest time of our lives when our family is in one BIG family hug!
Tonight our group went to the White Swan Hotel for dinner. We had to do the traditional “red couch” picture with all of the children. Unfortunately, with that many children (9 total) sitting on a couch it was a bit crazy. Needless to say, all of my pictures were blurry because I was trying to entertain them so they would look up and smile. After many attempts I failed at accomplishing any great photos.
After dinner the moms went for another foot massage. They should really say body massage because that’s what it technically is. Am I ever going to miss the pampering! We had a 1 hour 25 minutes massage for 68 RMB! In USD that is less than $10.
