Relaxing Day
Thank goodness there was nothing planned for today!  Last night I woke up and rushed to the bathroom and you can guess what happened.  All I can say is that I’ve had food poison one other time in my life and it was the same experience.  We did go to the police station to get things done for Angelina’s passport.  Thank goodness, I had recovered by early afternoon!  While we were at the police station we ran across a couple who we met at the Civil Affairs.  They are from downtown Chicago and adopting their first child and she is 9 years old.  I wish that we would have had our camera because this girl was absolutely beautiful and she was just so excited to have a Mom and a Dad.  It brings tears to my eyes to think about other children who are just like her just waiting for someone to adopt them.

Greg and Angelina got to spend some great daddy daughter time.  They took about 1 ½ hour walk and went shopping.  She’s a little trooper because when Greg goes shopping he’s like the energizer bunny, he keeps going and going and going…

It’s amazing how much Angelina has changed since the first day we got her.  Today was a milestone because it was the first time that she actually played on the floor.  Up until this point either Greg or I had to be holding her.  It’s amazing to watch her little personality come out.  She is such a happy baby!

Tonight we had a little pizza party.  I never knew Papa John’s pizza could taste so good!  There are only four different U.S. food chains here and they are Papa’s, KFC, Starbucks and McDonald’s.  It’s amazing how fast food chains sound so wonderful when you’ve been out of the country for any length of time!

Angelina had her first bath tonight.  She wasn’t a happy camper.  One of the reasons is that the hotel has no heat and our room is on the chilly side.  Her little lips were quivering she was so cold.  I think that when she’s home it will be a much better experience.

Tomorrow we will be leaving for a couple of days and visiting Angelina’s orphanage.
She was born in Yiangjeng, which is a city on the coast.  We may not be able to get internet access there but we’re bringing our computer just in case.  We are coming back on Saturday so if we are unable then we will post upon our return.

Hopefully we will be able to ask a lot of questions about Angelina and her first 11 months in the orphanage.

We have an early wake up call, I better hit the hay!
