First of all, we want to thank everyone for all of the wonderful e-mails that we have been getting! Sorry that we haven’t responded, by the end of the day we’re scrambling to get the Story of You completed. We just want you to know that we truly appreciate each and every one.
Our day started off with little missy waking up @ 6:30 am. She slept from 8:30-6:30 and didn’t make a peep during the night. I really thought that she would get up in the middle of the night because she hadn’t eaten since we got her the day before! I guess not eating is pretty common among babies because of this being a pretty traumatic experience for them.
We called home this morning (evening your time) and got to talk and see Liliana and Eli!!! I’m so thankful that Greg bought a web cam so that we can see the kids (they see us as well) even though we’re half way around the world. They even watched Angelina drink her bottle this morning! It got pretty emotional when we had to say good-bye; we’re really missing them a lot and can’t wait to be home for all of us to be together!
Greg and Angelina are sleeping right now. Thank goodness she’s a sound sleeper because he’s practically snoring right in her face.
We went to the Civil Affairs today and signed all of the papers required and Angelina is officially our daughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There were two care takers from the orphanage and that was such a blessing! When Angelina saw the one care taker she immediately got very excited and started smiling big time. The care taker played with her and was making her giggle. It was such a confirmation that God was watching over her the first eleven months of her precious life.
I just looked at the time and it’s 1:23 am, I better get to bed!
