It was rainy today so we visited the Reed Flute Cave which is 500 meters long. This cave was so beautiful that words cannot describe. Joseph is getting such an incredible education during this trip. After the cave, we visited the Ziyuan South China Pearl Center. It had very pretty jewelry. We bought something special for Angelina for her 16th birthday. This area of Guangxi is known for their pearls so it was special to buy her something from her birth place. She is such a great little girl. Once again, Joe, Joseph and Angelina are in the hall of our hotel playing with the other babies. It is such a cute sight.
I forgot to tell everyone that the camera that we sent to the orphanage to take pictures of her 1st Birthday was returned to us by the director the day we received Angelina. I am excited to develop the film and see the nannies and other babies she spent her first year with. We found out that her name given to her in the orphanage, YuChen, means morning rain. She will eat anything, Cheerios, eggs, apples and has adapted pretty well to U.S. formula which I am still mixing with her Chinese cereal. When she cries, she only wants Joe and Joseph to hold her. Joe said he’ll have to quit his job and Joseph will have to be home schooled to be with her. However, she loves me when I am feeding her. Joseph is having a lot of fun and everyone in the group loves him.
Tomorrow morning we take a tourist boat and stay at the Li River for the afternoon. We are leaving the hotel at 6:00AM for the dock. We are having a great time and are seeing so many things that we could only image. It’s so nice having Angelina and after a 22 month wait, she was so worth waiting for.
