Hooray! We received Angelina today. We all went to the Civil Affairs office at 11:30 AM to meet the babies. They had the parents in one room and the babies next door. It was so incredible. She cried for about an hour and then settled down. We went back to the hotel and I had to do paperwork at 4:00PM. Joseph, Joe and Angelina had their bonding time. Angelina is happiest being held by Joseph. She walks and feeds herself. She loves Cheerios and bananas. She is really good natured. Our first night she slept from 10:00 until 6:00 the next morning. We left the hotel early that morning with all of the babies and went back to the Civil Affairs office for more paperwork. Then we drove to the Notary for further questions and signatures. I meant Angelina’s orphanage director and nanny. They cried when we took her but smiled to me. Joe went to Wal-Mart with the group when I had to stay for more paperwork. Can you believe Joe in Wal-Mart? He got a great stroller which we needed. I can’t wait for you all to meet her. She is so happy and cries very little. She also had her first bath in the sink which went well. Everyone in the group is great. There is a boy Ryan that is 10 and in fourth grade. There is a real nice couple, Brian and Judy that we’ve gotten close with.
Tonight we are headed to another Chinese restaurant for dinner and a show. Supposedly, there is also a birthday we are celebrating. Connie, please e-mail us back so we know you are able to view this website. Also, look at LaVida International’s site, www.lavida.org, for the current trip to China. You will probably see us on that as well.
Gung hay fat Choi! (May you have good fortune and happiness!)
