Hello Everyone from Beijing. The flight was 14 hours from Chicago. It was long but smooth. We’ve been on the go without sleep since we arrived. We visited Tiananmen Square “the Gate of Heavenly Peace”, Forbidden City and of course The Great Wall. The Wall was started to be built over 2,000 years ago and is over 4,000 miles of desert and mountains. We climbed over 500 of the steps which was challenging. It is amazing. The day was very overcast which gave the Wall an eerie feeling and sad when we thought of all the people who died building it and fighting for China. The people are nice with the Americans. We will send pictures when we can. Access to the internet is real slow and sometimes impossible.
