I am losing track of the days--- we are nearing the end of our journey. Only two full days left here in China. We are continuing to enjoy Guangzhou, especially the warm weather! I understand that it is -1, without the wind chill back in Michigan! Although we are anxious to get home and introduce AngeLina to you all—I must say that I could survive here at the White Swan, with the sun shining and 65 degrees for several more months until the snow melts!
Today we had AngeLina’s physical examination. She was very healthy and weighed about 18 pounds and measured about 28 inches long. She is so tiny! There were many families there- from all over with their newly adopted Chinese baby! It could have been quite chaotic however, Miss Cai kept us in the right place and squeezed us through each line very quickly! Sorry if we cut in front of anyone—she was directing us from station to station and we didn’t quite get the line system!
Later in the afternoon, we went to the Jade Market—the markets here are crazy and a bit overwhelming! I am not sure that I like shopping with that kind of pressure and bartering! I think that I am shopped OUT! Hard to believe- but I am! Instead of shopping, Bradley and Richard played badminton today on the street and a Chinese man wanted to show them how to play. They had an audience—the big American against the little Chinese man. It was quite a sight! Richard says he won!
