Dear Andrew,

Today we had a really fun day.  Shiyan took the group to an outdoor Folk Art Museum here in Guangzhou.  It was really beautiful.  I bought some keepsakes for you there.  It is very humid here in Guangzhou and the Trade Fair is going on so all the hotels are quite busy.  It is also their rainy season, but that didn't stop us from taking in the beauty of the city.  Once we leave our area where the hotel is, it is just as busy as Beijing.  About 35 million here.  Most of the migrant workers come in to find jobs to support their families.  We asked Shiyan about crossing the bridge to go to the other side to shop.  She told Emmie and I not to go.  That it was not safe for us and we would be targets to get mugged or to have my purse stolen.  I was glad I asked her about it first.

Emmie, you and I also had a fun day shopping once we got back.  You were such a good boy.  All the locals comment about how handsome you are.  You fell asleep in your stroller as we shopped along.  It truly is a beautiful place to be.  The simple life of these people amazes me.

Tonight Shiyan took the group to an Italian Restaurant.  It was absolutely gorgeous inside the building.  The table with highchairs was prepared upon our arrival, we had wonderful service, the food was delicious and you behaved so well and flirted with the other Moms.  You and Mommy shared spaghetti and you must have ate at least 5 pieces of bread.  The walk back was a relaxed one.  With the group just talking about how special all of our children are and how thankful we are that God knew how to place each one of you with the right family.  We were even approached by a proud local Chinese woman holding her one month older daughter.  She brought her to show us.  It was very sweet.

We are finally approaching our last two days here.  I can feel my emotions coming on again as I know we will be going home with you forever and not returning here for many years.  I pray that you will continue to blossom my sweet boy and that you will feel my love for you each day.  I pray that once you meet Sophia and Daniel that you will fall in love with them and feel their love as well. You are now entering a new chapter in your life and I promise you that we will love life together.......know matter where the road takes us, we will be together.......as Mother and Son.

Love,
Mommy
