Dear Andrew,
What a fun day today. We headed out to the Beijing Zoo and you absolutely loved all the animals. Especially the monkeys. You thought they were so funny swinging from the ropes and making so much noise. It was a gorgeous sunny day and the temperature was a bit cooler which made it nice to walk around the zoo. The flowers are coming in to bloom and I find the willows so breathtakingly beautiful here. Emmie took the picture of the bridge down by the pond. I was so happy to see that on her camera. It is so peaceful to me.....I wish I had that in our backyard. We stopped for a potty break today and before I knew it you were running into the men's bathroom. I was screaming no, no,no,.....boo, boo, boo.....and all the Chinese men thought it was funny as I grabbed your arm right before you got too far into the bathroom. That is one thing Mommy didn't need to see! lol We had Joy and our driver drop us off at the Pizza Hut for lunch. Luckily they have a picture menu which made it easy to order from. We then just walked back to our hotel.
Later that afternoon, Daddy, Mommy and you took a long walk. We found the silk market. Oh what lovely little treasures to be found. Many of the shops and carts were getting ready to close, but we will go back tomorrow after our visit to the Summer Palace. I need to begin packing so I can see just how much room I have in my suitcase before flying to Guangzhou. Once we are there, we will just buy another suitcase to fill with all of our wonderful memories of China.
You give kisses very easily now and we are just so in love with you. I am slowly learning a little more Mandarin and it is helpful with our communicating with each other. You are such a sweet boy.....I hope you will begin to try and talk and mimic us soon.
I love you Andrew....
Love,
Mommy |
