-An Ancient Chinese Belief
Please email us......
Dear Andrew,

Today we started our day going to The Temple of Heaven.  It was a beautiful place full of ancient history along with lovely gardens and Temples.  Many of the older local people spend there day there doing various things.  Exercising, playing games, singing along to music and dancing.  When I see things like this I just want to soak it all in so I can tell you and Sophia about it someday.  It is your culture and a part of your life that I will do my best to have you be proud of.

Once we got back to our hotel, we had to feed you immediately.  You are very scheduled and become cranky when you need to eat.  After that tummy of your is full, you are one happy, smiling boy again. We played in the room for a while and then headed out to a store that is like a Walmart.  I have been in search of Granola bars and we did find some down the "Import" aisle.  We bought you some little Chinese candies that we found out that you liked and again we you were a happy boy.

Mommy had a terrific time taking pictures inside of this grocery store.  The meat department there is nothing like we have ever seen here at home.  We'll look at those pictures someday and you'll see the difference between our cultures.  For dinner tonight we went out with one of our travel mate families to the Red Lantern.  It was hard core Chinese.  You did great.  You ate bean sprouts. bamboo shoots, pork with bamboo shoots, Dim Sum with duck and veggies inside and one more little thing stuff with meat and rice.  Daddy, myself and your sister on the other hand had a very hard time and didn't each much at all.  Our travel mates were much more daring.

I think you were tired once we got back to the room because you didn't seem to really enjoy your bath very much.  You wanted to put your clothes back on rather then your jammies and at bed time you tossed and rolled for about 2-3 minutes before you passed out.  This is where it breaks my heart  because I know that I must be doing something very different than your normal routine.  I just hope and pray once we get home that you will transition into our life with us.  We love you very much and can't wait to get us all home.

Love,
Mommy
