Dear Andrew,
Today we went to get your passport picture so your final paperwork can be processed. I am so thankful that everything is now complete with that and we are just waiting for it all to be finished. This morning we headed out to the Cloisonné Factory and to The Great Wall. It was a bit chilly but Emmie and I climbed as high as we could while you waited below with Daddy. We bought you some gifts to remember these special place. I hope that we will be able to bring you back here someday so you can appreciate your culture and what it means to you. You loved riding on the big tour bus and looking out the window. You pointed to things and talked to me. I love hearing your sweet voice speak to me in Chinese. We ate snacks together and I had pictures books for you too look at during our ride. When I would listen to Joy talk to us in the bus, you would gently tap my shoulder to get my attention. Your smiles come to me easily now and I feel that you are bonding with me. I'm so thankful for that.
After dinner this evening I let you play in the tub for a long time. You had so much fun and I can see how wet the bathrooms will be at home once you and Daniel are in there together. When I got you out a started putting on your pajama's you were just talking away in Chinese to me.....but then I heard it among the words.......you said it.....I was sure of it......in your sentence I heard the word......Mama.....you looked at me and I looked at you and I knew at that moment that you were trusting me more and more.
I love you sweet boy of mine.......life together will be amazing.
