A Day To Catch Our Breath...
Today was a down day with no official business.  We just wait in Wuhun for certain documentation to clear after the official Adoption Decree from yesterday.  We did have a moment of panic yesterday afternoon when it was determined that my name has been listed as Jeanne Marie Lawler (it should be Jeanne Lawler Frank) on a number of documents.  This apparently stems from my passport that expired last August 2007.  It was still in my maiden name.  And no copy of the page showing the name change was included in the Dossier sent to China.  The new passport of course has the right name.  This is an issue with the CCAA.  You can imagine having heard Brian and I grumble about the amount of paperwork that we were momentarily very concerned that this could be a major issue.  After 30 months of waiting and countless piles of documents, could I really have missed this???  Thankfully, this is where Adoptions from the Heart excels.  Their on the ground China based team (Helen and Der) are terrific.  Once we explained what we think happened, the interpreter was off to the court to clear it up for us.  Everything is now okay.

The group went to the Hubei Provincial Museum today.  It is free to the public and full of history of this region.  Brian really enjoyed this.  It was interesting for me.  The girls mostly tolerated it.  We all enjoyed a music performance using chimes and other traditional Chinese Musical Instruments.  Some of these instruments date back from many years ago.  We have attached some photos.

Analei and Brian made some progress today when Analei decided that a game of catch with the Cheerios container and Dad could be alot of fun.  Needless to say, Brian was beaming when she finally smiled for him and seemed to enjoy the interaction.

Tonight is a group dinner at a local Chinese Restaurant.  I am sure we will draw as much attention tonight as we did this morning at the Museum.  I think our group was photographed more by the local people that any of the museum exhibits.  Brian and I were especially interesting to them with our 2 beautiful daughters.

We finally had a few moments to send back some emails.  If we didn't respond to everyone, please know that we are so grateful to hear from so many people back home.  Especially thanks to our families for your support and to the OIT team.  I loved getting your emails.  It helps us miss everyone less and gives us so much joy to know you are sharing in our journey.  Please keep them coming!!

Enjoy today's photos.

All our love,
Jeanne, Brian, Meilyn and Analei
