We Arrived Safely In Guangzhou
Welcome to Guangzhou!!

We arrived at the White Swan hotel and were settled in by 4 pm or so.  As a special treat to Meilyn, Brian took her to the pool just as soon as the luggage arrived. She has been such a good girl and since she loves the pool, I knew she would be excited.  Analei and I took a spin on Shamian Island to check out the shops and see what has changed since we were here a few years ago.  Of course, I was on the hunt for shoes for Analei since we brought the wrong size.  As some of you know, the shopping here is great.  The local stores cater to the adoptive families for clothes, gifts for back home and the like.  You can get great deals on all kinds of children's clothes.

The Frank Family has had a great 48 hours together.  We had 2 dinners with just the 4 of us and Analei had really let her personality come out.  We purchased a stroller for Analei yesterday and the woman speculated that Analei was from Hunan as she seemed like a "spicy girl".  When told her she was from WuXue in Hubei, the girl from the store promptly informed us that the girls from the area around Wuhan can also be spicy.  That seems to be a good description of our girl.  We understand that she was with multiple foster families and we think many of them may have had little boys as she is a tough little girl when she gets angry.  She's going to give us all a run for our money in the days to come.

We are looking forward to the next 3 days.  There is not alot of meetings and documents to deal with.  Most of that is behind us.  It's just a matter of waiting for the consulate to approve everything and completing the medical exam on Monday.

Enjoy the photos from today.....

Love,
Jeanne, Brian, Meilyn and Analei
