Our Last Day in Nanjing
We received Amy's passport today, the last thing we need before moving on to Guangzhou. We spent the day touring the Nanjing Museum. This is our third time in Nanjing, but our first time visiting this museum. It is wonderful! So much history and artifacts. All four of us enjoyed it very much. We gave the cameras to the girls and they took so many pictures they used up all the memory!

After the museum we went to a small neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Our guide, Nancy, ordered for us and we had a wonderful meal.

After that back to the hotel and pool. Amy has added 'pool' to her English vocabulary and asks every day if we can go. She loves it!

A side note to anyone waiting for or considering adopting an older child. One of the things that has made this trip easier is knowing how to speak some Chinese. I am not fluent by any means, but I can ask Amy about basic things and explain what we are doing and where we are going. I believe it has made a big difference. After swimming today, we had to leave the two large pool tubes we bought for the girls to play with. Amy was quite upset about it until I managed to explain we were going on an airplane tomorrow and could not bring them. Then she was fine.

We spent the evening packing up. Tomorrow is a travel day.
