Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,

For this child I prayed, and the Lord
has given me my petition which I asked of Him.

Day 3 --

Today we headed out to visit a local Montessori.  It was amazing!  The grounds were beautiful—filled with gardens, beautiful fruit trees, ponds, and lots of old Chinese buildings.  The Montessori houses a little over 100 monks.  They were strolling around the grounds.  It was such a beautiful, peaceful place.  I could only imagine that this is only a taste of what heaven is going to be like.   I wish I could post some pictures, but we realized once we arrived that I had left my camera card in my laptop back at the hotel…sigh…..so no pictures.  But I have posted several of Miss Amelia, which I’m sure that’s what most of you would want to see anyway :o)

After we finished touring the Montessori we stopped at the local Walmart.  This is my fourth trip to China and I’ve yet to visit one of their infamous Walmarts.  It was an experience to say the least.  They even have a greeter just like here in America.  We bought some more bottled water and some snacks for Amber and Amelia.  Afterwards we went back to our hotel for Amelia to take a nap.

After her nap we went downstairs to check out the swimming pool.  Ummmmm, well it’s open like they said it was, but it was in no condition to swim in—at least not by American standards.  So we put Miss A in her bathing suit and she and Amber had fun in the bathtub.  Amelia really didn’t know the difference and had fun, so that’s all that matters.  She looked so darn cute in her little bathing suit.

Afterwards we had dinner at the hotel and then turned in for the evening.  It has been a very low-key trip so far, but that’s fine with me.  We’ve had lots of family/bonding time and it has been good for Amelia and that’s what is important.

Please continue to keep Amelia in your prayers, as well as Jim and the kids back home.  We talk to them every night and they always ask me the same thing, if I’m on the airplane coming home.  I can’t wait until I can finally tell them “yes…I’m coming home”!

Day 4 --

Today we were suppose to tour a local park/gardens but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate.  It rained all day long, into the evening.  So we hung out here in the room and just played with Amelia.  You would have thought that we’d get bored, but we had so much fun playing that the day really went quickly.

Amelia is really coming out of her shell and is showing more and more of her personality.  She is a very bright little girl.  She says very few words, but she certainly understands everything we are telling her.  We are really enjoying our alone time with her and are anxious to get home with her so she can finally meet her daddy and big brother and sister.

Wish there was more to report, but this was a day filled with lots of downtime.

Hope you enjoy the pictures and thank you for following along on our journey.
