We knew life would never be the same when we returned from China. The past 11 weeks have flown by so fast. Amelia has had so many new experiences. It seems she learns something new everyday. She is very happy and content. She is such a joy!!
One of her first words was Gator's ( Vaughn worked very hard to get her to say it). She is also walking on her own now and exploring everywhere we go. She loves music and hugging her stuffed animals. She has a little purse that she must carry where ever she goes.
As I look back over the past 11 weeks, there is one moment that stands out to me over all the others. One morning, I lifted Amelia out of her crib. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a big hug and a kiss on my shoulder. It was at that moment that I truly felt like her mommy.
We are so thankful to God for the gift He has given us. Ameila is a precious jewel. We will always treasure her!
We also want to thank all our family and friends for all their support and prayers while we were in China and since returning home. We could not have made it without you all! We loved reading all the emails and the Guestbook.
We also appreciate the sacrifice Janet, Tim, Christian,Lydia, Nathan, and Abigail made so that Janet could travel with us to China. We know it was difficult for Janet to be away from her family for 15 days.
