Thanks so much for visiting us during our journey,
Vaughn, Cynthia and Amelia Grace!
LiPing and Peter ( our Guangzhou coordinator) took all of the families paperwork to the U.S. Consulate this morning. They told us to stay in our room by the phone from 9am-12pm incase there was a problem with the paperwork. It was very nice to be able to stay in the room and not go sit there hours waiting.  We ordered room service for lunch and tried to catch up on everything. I now have the cold that Vaughn had. Amelia is cutting a tooth and not feeling well either.

Janet decided to explore the area and check out the shopping. She returned with a full report and which shops had the best prices and items. Amelia and I stayed in for the day trying to get well.   Amelia is letting Vaughn hold her more now. He is discovering that she loves his funny faces. She also loves it when he bops himself on the head with a pillow. She laughed and laughed. It was so cute.

For dinner we returned to Lucy's. Amelia is such a good eater. She tries everything. On our way home we stopped by a few shops and bought a few gifts.

We were looking back over all the pictures of Amelia. It is amazing to see the change in her face.   The first day, she was scared and very somber. Now, she is laughing and smiling all the time.   She also waves bye-bye now. The cutest thing is after she is done eating we tell her it is all gone and she waves bye-bye to the plate.

I am trying to use my Chinese phrase book to talk to her in Chinese and English. I looked up how to say "no" in Chinese. It is "boo".  I was trying to get Amelia to lay down and go to sleep. When she stood up in her crib, I said to her boo-boo. Janet and I just looked at each other and laughed. It is hard to say boo-boo sternly. Daddy is Ba Ba in Chinese. So, I now call Vaughn Big Ba Ba. We ask Amelia who is Ba Ba and she points to Vaughn. He really likes that.

Janet thinks that Amelia may be left handed. I think that would be very neat because I am left handed also and so is my Dad.

When Amelia first fell asleep tonight, she let out a few little laughs in her sleep. I hope she is happy always!
