We are counting down the days until we get Allison. Gotcha Day is planned for the morning of April 3rd.
Traveled to Changsha. We had to get up very early...4:00am for a 7:50 flight out of Beijing. There is more bureaucracy here than we are used to in the states. The strangest thing was that we could only take 2 bottles of water each on the plane but we had to open the water and let them smell it first. I guess they were checking for alcohol, but we really aren't too sure.
Changsha is very warm and humid...we are definitely in a different climate zone here. We knew that we needed to pack for weather in the 70's, but the humidity adds another dimension to that. 70 degrees dry and 70 degrees with high humidity are two very different things.
We met our tour guides/adoption facilitators, Jane and Sophia. They are very nice and very knowledgeable. We got to the hotel at 11:30am and we all crashed. We didn't do much for the rest of the day. We just had to get well rested for a big day tomorrow. We did have one meeting in the pm to complete adoption paperwork.
We are still working on the photo problem. Pictures will be sent as soon as we can.
