We spent most of Tuesday night reducing the content of our luggage and although we did eliminated one check on bag we still ended up with five total bags. Now understand that most of that is diapers, diaper wipes, gifts, baby food and other necessities I’m not sure we will need or not, but we are prepared! While we met the weight requirements for traveling international the big question will be if we can get all of our luggage through on the domestic flights.
Our journey started on Wednesday departing from Detroit, MI and landing in Beijing on Thursday evening. Our journal entry today will be short since we spent all of our time in an airport, airplane or automobile. While the flight itself was long and at times uncomfortable, the people we met throughout our travels have been very helpful and kind. We met several couples that are adopting as well and will meet up with them again at the White Swan when we go through our US paperwork.
We are settled in our hotel room and taking some time to stretch our legs. Tomorrow we will experience China and will share our adventures in our next journal entry. It is now approaching midnight so we have to call it a night.
