There is still more
to see in Chongqing
Well we had the morning to ourselves which was really kind of nice. After breakfast we took Alexandra and Nick to the park across from the hotel. It's another gorgeous day in Chongqing.  We just strolled her around and people continue to stare and want to know what we are doing with this baby. Then they read our name tag that explains the situation some accept it and so feel otherwise. At two thirty our group did another tour Chongqing our first stop was to Marie our guide’s house. Everyone lives in apartment buildings which they refer to as villas. I will show you all a pick of these buildings. They are usually 30 stories high and some of them are very shabby looking. Hers was very nice and she was very hospitable she really wanted us to see how Chinese people live. The next stop was the Yangtze River and the Jauling River and we got to see where these two rivers meet. Most were amazed however us people from the burgh are familiar with three rivers. We didn’t stay there too long because the peddlers and beggars and overwhelming.  There were some folks on the street selling produce and different kinds of food and one woman was shelling water chestnuts which was kind of neat. Then we visited the Peoples Hall in Chongqing and the museum. We did purchase a painting for Alexandra done on leaf veins of a Banyan tree leaf. Leaf veins painting was first invented in Chongqing, we thought it might be a nice keepsake.  We then headed back to the hotel and had some dinner.

Let me give you the Alexandra update. She still remains to be gem and it sitting up a lot better than she was on Sunday, everyday she is getting a little stronger. We are teaching her a few tricks to show off when she gets home and Bob bought her some books today. HE said she will be reading them by the time we get home also. She is very inquisitive and doesn't miss a trick. She is eating well but continues to only take the bottle and a little cereal. She does shake her head no when she doesn’t want something. She is a great communicator.  We have met a lot of great people and made a lot of new friends but we are all a little homesick and are anxious for the last leg of our trip. We leave for Guangzhou on Sunday morning. Tomorrow is a free day we plan to just hang out pack our bags and take in the last few hours of Chongqing. We will be sad to leave as this is what we know of our daughter’s roots; however we look forward to completing this journey to start our new life with Alexandra in the US.

We miss you all and thanks for following our journey. By the way if you are posting on the blog thank you however we cannot see the website from here. We will read them when we get back. We can see the emails the you send from The Story of You. Thanks and God Bless.

Good night from Chongqing!
