Touring Beijing
After a lot of sleep on and off that was much needed we had a wonderful breakfast at the hotel (Virginia it was everything you promised). We left at 8:00 a.m. to see Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, then we had lunch at a local Chinese Restaurant. We then toured a silk factory and actually saw how the silk was made starting from the silk worms. From there we toured a small village via a rickshaw and actually spent time with one of the villagers Mr. Lee. Daniel our tour guide took us into his home for some tea and Chinese candies.  He was extremely hospitable and to see the culture from this view was a real eye opener. These particular houses are own by the government and these folks don’t have much at all. We then attended an Acrobatic Show which was very entertaining and from there we all went to a traditional has Peking Duck dinner. We just back from our tour at 9:00 p.m. and we are all feeling a bit jet lagged. Tomorrow we will climb the great wall and we will be just 2 days from meeting Alexandra Nicole.  Please continue to pray for health and safety during this trip.

Goodnight from Beijing,
