Ainsley is sleeping well and eating well.  Thanks to our Chinese exchange students, we have found she likes rice crispies with warm milk and a boiled egg- all mixed together.  Yum!  She has a wonderful sense of humor and is making little "funnies" with us.  Like we mentioned, her laugh is contagious!  We visited Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City today.

Ethan felt right at home in The Forbidden City.  Olivia continued to be the model for several pictures.  Sophia was the princess for the day, as we called her, for getting to ride in the stroller all day.  Ainsley is definitely attached to Stacy and is attached as tight as any baby monkey is to their mother.  Thank God for Chiropractic, as Stacy will need her Chiropractor when we return.  We all went for a ride in a rickshaw on our way to lunch with a typical Beijing family.  Richard and Stacy doubled their tip to the rickshaw driver after asking if he could pull them since he looked elderly.  Lunch was delicious, and yes Miss Olivia, it was "Chinese".  Everyone ate well and was able to talk to their host with the help of an interpreter.  He was very proud of Beijing and being from there. His home was passed down from his parents and is currently housing 3 generations.  We met his 4 year old grandson who was outgoing and danced for us.  By 3 o'clock we were ready to relax and let the kids play again.

Ainsley is almost potty trained and is keeping up with Sophia.  She is speaking more and does speak Chinese.  It will be interesting to see how quickly she learns English. Ainsley likes to color and stack blocks.  She has a Tigger doll we had sent her that she is carrying around.  She likes to pick up garbage, which is fine in the hotel room, but was not as nice as we toured today.   Ainsely is starting to attach to Richard and was at first scared of his beard.  The kids showed her it was ok and her trust is building.  Perhaps there are not many hairy Chinese men like Richard?  As I write this Ainsley is trying to get my attention and get more kisses.

She is a cuddle bug.

Tomorrow we return to Civil Affairs and pray we can stay on schedule.
