Well here we are, just finishing up the last minute paperwork. As of 4 p.m. this afternoon, our baby girl was officially sworn in as an American citizen. Her visa was issued, and as soon as we land in the United States, citizenship takes effect. It's hard to believe that the last detail is finished and the long wait to have Aerin home is only a short night's sleep and a few long plane rides home.
We have met such wonderful people on our journey. "Uncle" Dennis was a God send. He led our way through China and through the many airports and stacks of paperwork. The families of the babies adopted, feel like our own family. So many emotions and struggles and joys. This adventure has definitely bonded us to those we've met along the way. We can't wait to one day share these memories of these times with Aerin.
To all of our family and friends sending prayers and e-mail, we really appreciate all of the support and encouragement. We are so glad to have such a wonderful community to bring our daughter home to!
Once we settle in, we will be journaling more in the home update on this website. See you all very soon!
