Hello Everyone!
Day number four of Mommyhood. It's been wonderful! However, night number three was pretty tough. We either had a bad tummy ache or night terrors that we've been told about. Please send a few prayers our way. We really hope that it was just a one time event and tonight we can turn down the lights and everyone on floor 12 can sleep through the night.
Aerin and Mommy went on a long walk with our new friends, ate at McDonalds, and did a little shopping at the market. Dad and some of the other parents of the children of Huainan orphanage, went to visit the orphanage today. It was a two hour bus ride each way. He was really glad he went and he shared his video with me. We are glad that we will have a recorded part of Aerin's history, but we really wish it was a happier beginning for her. We were also able to find out that Aerin shared her crib with a friend named Jenna. Jenna happens to be staying in the next room with her new parents as well.
Even after the night's struggles, we can tell that we have a little girl that was loved in her orphanage. She is very affectionate. And, each day she opens up a little more with us.
