I think it may have happened as a result of holding Abe, Connie and I hostage in this hotel for too long.
Seriously. What was I thinking?
Honestly – I think I was thinking that I could control the environment in this room, but I am unable to control the environment outside this room. Maybe I am the one with issues?
Abraham is marvelously toddler. All toddler boy.
If I could choose how Abe would be, it would be this. All boy. Adventurous. Inquisitive. Spunky.
I know that some people get babies that lack muscle tone, are non-verbal, distant and won’t eat. Abraham has AMAZING muscle tone, is VERY verbal (often copying short words that I say), very interactive and engaged and eats wonderfully (although not to the point of over-eating)!
In my logical thinking, I wonder what in the heck is wrong with me!? But I know that I when I hold myself up in this stuffy room all day – without sunshine and fresh :o) air, it is difficult to gain a proper perspective.
So – what else should two women and a baby do when they need to regain perspective? Well, go to Haagen Dazs – of course!!! There isn’t anything that a little Belgium Chocolate ice cream can’t solve!
Today really was about that boring.
Sorry.
We did venture out this afternoon long enough to pick up Abraham’s passport – officially freeing us to move on to Guangzhou tomorrow morning. Amen!
So – next post: post medical exam, post Lucy’s grilled cheese (with bacon this time – for Steve!) and hopefully NOT in room 2627 (as they sentenced me to the last TWO times I was there!).
Abe discovered the comb today and I gotta say - the boy loves to groom!
First bite of ice cream...
...and the reaction!
Probably the most relaxed moment of the day - for both of us!
