A New Adventure Begins
I can't believe it is finally time to pick up my daughter Abigail.  I named Abigail five years ago when my papers where logged into China.

Abigail is Hebrew with an inherent meaning "my Father rejoices"  Zephaniah 3:17 :  The Lord your God is your midst, the Mighty One, will save: He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with his love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

We left Raleigh at 0906 and arrived in Beijing, China at 0315 eighteen hours later.  China is twelve hours ahead of us, so it was 1515 here.  Currently my body is confused regarding whether it is day or night.  When we arrived at our hotel we met our guide here in Beijing, Sherry.  She has a very energetic bubbly personality with excellent English.  She told us some of the do's and don'ts while in China and gave us an idea of what we will be doing for the next two days.  She also told us where to find a Chinese version of Walmart and of course I couldn't resist I had to go see it for myself.  Yes, I have already been shopping.  Although, I must admit that I was a little nervous for my parents and I to leave the safety of my hotel where people speak English and to go out into an environment where no one speaks English.  I believe everything in life is a lesson.  I now have a better understanding of what it feels like to be in a strange land and unable to communicate.  Hopefully, I will be more aware of the discomfort of others in the same situation and do what I can to relieve their discomfort.
At RDU.  Finally on the way.
In Chicago ready to begin the next phase of my journey
the plane that brought us to Beijing safely
At immigration Beijing Airport (believe it or not they let me in)
Chinese Walmart
I am finally here
