Gotcha Day!
Today, at 3:30pm, Abigail Elizabeth Cheng Xia joined her family! Mommy and Emily are here in China to bring her home, but there are several family members at home in the states eagerly awaiting her! They are with us in spirit and prayer! Her nannies call her Xia Xia (shaw, shaw) and she is described as a sweet baby! She is a doll baby and yes, her cheeks are so squeezable and kissable! Not one baby in our group cried! I was the second one called, and I could see her in the hallway! She was dressed in pink pjs and had her Chinese name taped to her! She came to me and just looked up ever so sweetly! She threw her head back a few times and looked at me so intently! She went to her big sister and just gazed into Emily's eyes! Emily loves her and we can definitely say WE ARE OVER THE MOON WITH EXCITEMENT!!!!

Today is Father's Day, and although Abby doesn't have a father, I can't think of a more appropriate day to receive this special blessing! This Gotcha Day is dedicated to my dad who passed away in 1995 and continues to watch over us! My whole family believes that he shares a part in both Emily and Abigail's adoption and what an honor to have Abby today! And to Papa Hogan, who went home to heaven unexpectedly last year on Father's Day! He is my sister-in-law's Dad but served as Grandpa for my Emily! We miss you so much and I know you had a hand in this too!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Love,
